Report: Slovakia wants to stop Russian oil, gas imports soon

PRAGUE, May 11 (PRIME) -- Slovakia wants to stop buying Russian oil and gas as soon as possible, Prime Minister Eduard Heger told channel TA3 Wednesday.

"We want to abandon imports of gas and oil from Russia as soon as possible. This is the position of Slovakia, but it must be technically realistic," Heger said.

He added that the E.U. was discussing the technical possibilities for Russian oil and gas supplies discontinuation and the timeframe of signing deals with other suppliers.
